Reservation- A tract of public land set apart for a special purpose, as for the use of an Indian tribe.
Immigrant- A person who migrates to another country, usually for permanent residence.
Push-Pull Migration Theory- Push migration is being pushed out of a country. Ex: unemployment, famine, disease, or war. Pull migration is being pulled into a country. Ex: Good jobs, land, food, or peace.
Pioneer- A person who is among those who first enter or settle a region, thus opening it for occupation and development by others.
Persecution- To persecute with harassing or oppressive treatment, especially because of religion, race, or beliefs.
